In the spring of 2007, the Design Group was retained by General Growth Properties (GGP), Owners of Coronado Center Mall, to assist them in the continued planning of their land holdings in the Uptown area of Albuquerque.

The planning effort consisted of two tasks – advising GGP on helping to craft the City of Albuquerque’s proposed revision of the Uptown Sector Plan, and providing a conceptual plan for how Coronado Center might potentially develop under the proposed Sector Plan revision. The Design Group worked closely with GGP staff, City of Albuquerque staff and members of the Uptown Progress team to create a plan that was appropriate, innovative, and profitable.
