Urban Taqueria is a small local business located in the heart of downtown Albuquerque. This upscale taco shop has vibrancy, not only in design but also in its varied menu offerings. The high ceilings, large windows and bright interior colors contribute to a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The H+M Design Group worked closely with the client to achieve a specific aesthetic and feel. The color choices and mural design are influenced by traditional Mexican taquerias and helped achieve the client’s vision. This tenant improvement project, located in the existing One Central building, is the first commercial tenant to open its doors to the public. Urban Taqueria is an example of a high impact project completed with a relatively low budget that will contribute to Albuquerque’s thriving downtown revitalization.
