When the Maestas Development Group (MDG) relocated their office to Journal Center, they enlisted the help of H+M Design Group to transform a tired and dated office into a modern, attractive, and open office plan. The new interior design now offera pleasant work environment for both staff and visitors. The design team collaborated with the owners to create an open and inviting lobby area showcasing the company logo on a large featured wallcreating an impactful first impression. The design team further reinforced MDG’s company brand by strategically utilizing their blue logo color throughout the design.

The client’s desire was to have an updated and youthful look in order to cater to their clientele. The team accomplished this through the use of finished materials, striking colorsmodern furnishings, and strategic lighting selections. The client also requested a collaborative work and meeting space for staff huddles and meetings, which was successfully accomplished by opening up the back-office area and creating a combined kitchenette, conference room and lounge area.

By updating the entire office complex and listening to MDG’s needs throughout the process, a newly marketable aesthetic was added to building. And, by redesigning the interior for both the main office space and the leasable space, value was added by re-thinking the functionality for both the current and future occupants.

Maestas Development Group has been a mainstay and frontrunner in Albuquerque’s business world for many years. With the updated design and branding of their new office building, this re-energized and modernized space will not only enhance their presence in Albuquerque, but also further solidify their reputation in the business community.
